"The Boys" Season 4 is actually really good
The boys season 4 was okay.
Caution: Spoilers ahead
I watched the first 3 seasons of the boys and although it was a bit slow in places, it was fairly enjoyable to watch, if not just for the gratuitous violence and drama. After a long wait I was excited to hear that season 4 was finally coming out. Despite lots of negative reviews online I decided to give the boys a watch and oh boy was this boy glad.
It starts off with starlight as a new member of the boys along with Frenchie, Hughie, MM, and Butcher. MM is in charge of the team now though and they are still going on missions. Honestly I just watched three episodes and I don't know why they are going on missions anymore. Compare that to the first season, which came out years ago. I still remember that Hughie was mad at vought because his girlfriend was hit by a train or something. The butcher's motivations were mostly just mysterious. After the last season they more or less failed at all their plans. I don't really understand why they are still going or what they are trying to accomplish.
First off, the cinematography is amazing. The lighting and camera angles are all so perfect it almost doesn't matter what's happening in the story. It's just fun to watch no matter how much the plot doesn't make sense.
One main concern I saw online was that the actress for starlight had plastic surgery done. This would have made the show harder for me to watch in the first few seasons maybe, but at this point her character has been ruined to where I don't really care. I barely even noticed. I noticed it less than that one time when something might have happened but I'm not sure because I wasn't paying attention.
Why homelander isn't one of the homeboys and how maeve just 'maeve'd my day
